A business visa is a document provided by the designated country/countries of destination inside the Schengen Area to nationals of countries that are subject to Schengen Zone visa regulations for the sole purpose of conducting business in the EU.
Although it is not necessary for the bearer of this form of visa to be a citizen of the selected country in order to pursue their business objectives, such authorisation does have its restrictions.
When to apply for a Business Visa
The earliest you can apply for a Business visa is three months prior to your scheduled trip, and the latest is 15 working days prior to your planned journey to Europe for business.
In most cases, a business visa is only valid for 90 days. It’s a good idea to fill out the “many entry” gap on the application form if you’ll be traveling a lot and not only in one Schengen country. This way, you’ll have complete freedom to enter and exit the Schengen Zone for the duration of your visa.
